For more than a year, we have been running the LOVE DOES School at the Global EXPO refugee point, which provides free classes for refugee children. It is open to any Ukrainian child between the ages of 6 and 16. Thanks to our project, more than 350 children have returned to a normal education system interrupted by the war. Our club provides education on many levels, from school subjects such as Ukrainian, English, math, nature and physical education, to numerous additional subjects such as art, theater and robotics. In addition, our activities are aimed at providing psychological assistance to mothers whose children study at our institution. We have also organized numerous festivals aimed at restoring the children’s sense of normal childhood, but also encouraging them to cooperate with their peers.
As the LIFE POLAND Foundation, we have just launched the “Summer in the City” project. We would like to invite any interested child from 6 to 16 years of age to classes held Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is, of course, free. The classes take place at Modlinska 6D, Raclawicka 10 or Potocka 1.
We know that refugee children are deprived of the opportunity to go on vacations or summer camps. That’s why we decided to start the “Summer in the City” project. We have divided the vacations into thematic weeks – during the summer adventures we will have, among other things, a week of fashion, ping-pong, experiments, dance, literature, swimming or getting to know Warsaw.
