Love Does School

Purpose

The Love Does School educational project was created to provide high-quality education to children and young people from Ukraine who had to flee the war. Our goal is not only teaching, but also creating a safe environment where young people can grow, regain a sense of normalcy, and build their future despite difficult circumstances.

Who is it for?

The school primarily serves:

• refugee children and youth from Ukraine who came to Poland after the outbreak of the war,
• high school students preparing for the Matura and NMT exams,
• children in our care aged 7 to 17,
• refugee teachers from Ukraine with many years of experience and diplomas that have been officially recognized.

Currently, around 200 students attend the school, and the teaching staff is made up of educators from Ukraine.

Where?

Love Does School operates in Warsaw — it originally started in a refugee camp on Modlińska Street, and today it has two locations:

• Obrzeżna 7 – high school classes (grades 9, 10, 11A and 11B),
• Racławicka 10 – grades 9 and 10.

What is our school like?

The school operates in a bilingual (Polish–Ukrainian) model. We follow a curriculum aligned with Ukraine’s Ministry of Education, while also providing access to extracurricular activities that help students develop their passions and prepare for university.

We create a place where not only lessons matter, but also the atmosphere — one of community, safety, and support.

Programs and events

In addition to regular classes, we organize:

• entrepreneurship workshops as part of the LIFE Business Plan program,
• cultural and artistic events (e.g., performances, festivals, collaboration with artists),
• sports activities and camps (e.g., Soccer Camp),
• psychological support and tutoring,
• support in preparing students for university (the Dream Big scholarship program).

Why is it important?

For many children, the war meant interrupted education and the loss of friends, homes, and a sense of stability. Love Does School gives them more than learning — it provides continuity of life, a chance for the future, and a community that restores hope.
